For years, Emma explored various jobs—receptionist, nurse (though that was short-lived), and even dabbled in art. But she always felt like something was missing. Recently, she decided to turn her passion for fashion into a career and began looking for a job in retail, thinking it would align perfectly with her interests.
One day, she came home emotional and told me what had happened. Emma had been at the shopping center and noticed a famous lingerie store with a “Now Hiring” sign. Excited, she went in to inquire, but her excitement quickly turned to disappointment. When she approached the sales assistant, the woman didn’t even acknowledge her until she was directly in front of her. Emma, still hopeful, asked about the job application process, but the assistant looked her up and down with a sneer and delivered a harsh blow: “Look, hun, I don’t think you’re pretty enough for this job. No chance. Don’t even try, okay?”
Emma was heartbroken. She came home in tears, devastated by the cruel remark. I had never seen her so upset, and it broke my heart.
I held her close and tried to console her. “My love, don’t let her words get to you. You’re beautiful and talented. You’re worth so much more than that.” But Emma couldn’t understand why the assistant had been so cruel. “I just wanted to apply for a job. I didn’t deserve that,” she sobbed.
Seeing her so dejected made me furious. No one should make my Emma feel this way and get away with it! I decided it was time to teach that sales assistant a lesson she wouldn’t forget.
Over the next few days, I devised a plan. I reached out to my friend Mike, who works in the fashion industry, and he was more than willing to help after hearing what had happened. “That’s unbelievable, man. Let’s give her a taste of her own medicine,” Mike said.
